TRM 2012 Football Schedule Announced

The T.R. Miller Tigers have announced their 2012 football schedule.  The slate moved the annual Miller -Neal game to the ninth week of the season since both teams are now in the same region.  The AHSAA dictates that all region contests must be completed by week 9.  To replace W.S. Neal, the Tigers picked up Sweetwater High School.  Coach Stacy Luker's Tigers have moved up to 2A after dominating 1A for being years. "They have difficulty getting games and so do we at times," said Miller Coach Jamie Riggs.  "We both thought that it might be an intriguing match. We have never played each other and both of us have great football traditions."

The Tiger picked Clarke County back up as a non region contest after the Bulldogs left the region when they bumped up to 4A. The two will tie up on September 28th in Grove Hill.  Miller will open again with old foe Escambia County on August 31st in Atmore.  The schedule also includes 2011 Region champions Bayside Academy as well as Opp who was champion of Region 2.  The Tigers have Straughn back on the schedule, traveling to play the Black and Gold Tigers on October 19th. Miller will play Cottage Hill for Homecoming on Oct 5th.
